Exercise can seem like an enormous demon. Gyms can be intimidating. Fitness DVDs get lost beneath the pile of Things You Actually Want to Watch. Home workout equipment works well as an expensive, dusty drying rack — we once had an elliptical that did a fantastic job of air-drying clothes.
But the older I get, the more I realize that it doesn’t have to be a big deal. Go for a walk. Take a hike. Ride your bike. Shoot some free throws. Do the things that were fun when you were a kid. Just get moving.
