S’mores are yummy, but it’s a rare day where we’ve actually cooked something over the coals. I decided to work with what I had, wing it, and see if I could do an indoor version. Turns out that the answer is yes!
I tried it a few different ways, including adding the chocolate during the cooking process. This seems to result in extremely drippy, nuclear-hot chocolate. Learn from my mistakes and try not to burn your taste buds off by doing the same thing.
- Graham crackers
- Trader Joe’s semi-sweet chocolate circles
Preheat the toaster oven to broil mode.
Place one marshmallow on each graham cracker and slide it into the toaster oven. Watch carefully to prevent burning. The marshmallow should be golden brown within 2 minutes.
Remove from the toaster oven. Immediately add chocolate and the other part of the graham cracker. Wait one minute to give the chocolate a chance to melt a bit. Eat.
I’m sure that the Tiny Kitchen Assistant would love these, if I hadn’t made them after he went to bed. (Bad, bad Mom!)
