We Interrupt Our Regularly Scheduled Programming
I wanted to send a sincere apology for not posting anything of late. About three weeks ago, we had a fire at our house. Everyone is fine, and the damage could have been so much worse, but it is completely disruptive. We’re living from hotels. I have no kitchen to cook in. The cleanup crews came in, cleaned everything with a cotton swab and then pushed it all to the center of the room to prep for painting, which means that I can only find one running shoe and no workout pants.
It’s a weird time, and I don’t know how long it will last, but I will go back to writing as soon as “normal” life resumes and I have something to write about.
Until then, I will try to appreciate the hotels, look for the little joys in life (this year’s peaches have been magical) and learn to embrace a life of minimalism.
