Fundraising: I Have Goodies for You

Maybe, just maybe, giving a tax-deductible contribution to benefit blood cancer patients and their families isn’t enough motivation for you. That’s ok: I have added incentives.

For every $5 contribution to my fundraising efforts, you will get one entry into my Drawing of Fabulous Prizes. $5 = 1 entry. $10 = 2 entries. $50 = 10 entries. You get the idea. The possibilities are endless.

The worst part of putting together a drawing like this? I want every single prize that I’m offering.

Vanna, tell these lovely people what they could win! (Cue dramatic hand wave as the curtain opens to reveal, in no particular order….)

A book duo: Run Like a Mother and Train Like a Mother, graciously donated by the authors, Dimity McDowell and Sara Bowen Shea of Another Mother Runner. And I’ll let you in on a secret: these books may say “Like a Mother,” but they’re really ideal for anyone who wants to balance work, family and the things you should be doing for your own health and sanity.

The Zap running dress, size M, graciously donated by Nuu-Muu. It also makes a fantastic beach cover-up, around-town tunic and generally awesome wrinkle-free travel garment.

One full year of coffee — one pound per month — compliments of Peet’s Coffee and Tea in Pleasanton. Valid at Peet’s retail locations only.

Need a new job? Superfantastic Lori Graham will overhaul your resume. How’s that for a prize that keeps on giving?

Want to learn more about wine? Then Wine on Tuesdays: Be a Serious Wine Drinker Without Taking Wine Too Seriously is the book for you. Donated by the authors, Debra and Keith Gordon.

And maybe you want a little mood music to go with your wine? How about a box set of Sinatra’s hits?

Need more caffeine? What about a $25 gift code for Muddy Dog Coffee? Having visited the farm on my last trip to Hawaii, can I personally recommend that you get some of the Smithfarms Kona Peaberry?

Handmade jewelry! You can take home one of these handcrafted beaded necklaces to accent your wardrobe.

Keep track of the drinks at your party with this fun collection of drink markers, donated by Brett of Type Orange. (FYI, Brett is the awesome designer who created the Betty logo.)

I’m very excited to tell you that the awesome Dyana Valentine is donating her Pitch Perfect pack to the cause. If you’ve seen Dyana in action, you know how valuable this is! Ideal for freelancers or anyone looking to change jobs, this pack will help you distill who you are and what you want to do.

The drawing will be held on July 4, 2012. Winners will be notified by email and will be listed on the blog (first name, last initial).

Come on, what are you waiting for? All it takes is $5 to enter. Donate here. And thank you.
